Support Worker

Personal Carer position:

We arecurrently looking forapersonal care worker to workforour client onanoccasionalbasis contract.We are looking for an experienced individual to fill the role of Care Worker in a private domiciliary setting in Marshland St James, Wisbech. If you have prior experience working one to one with adults in a direct care role, we encourage you to apply for this position. We are seeking a patient and compassionate support/care worker to join our team and provide emotional and practical assistance to our client. In this role, youll make a significant difference in the quality of life for our client.

Personal care workers:

• You should be committed to all aspects of dealing with the personal care for ourclient and to observe and promote our clients choice, independence, dignity, privacy, fulfilment and other rights.
• To create and maintain good professional relationships with the client, their familyand other care and support workers such as physiotherapists etc.
• A minimum of 2+years experience providing direct care in a privatedomiciliary environment
• Valid driving licence
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassionate about the care and well-being of others
• Relevant NVQ or similar qualifications and manual handling
• DBS check

The right candidate will be responsible for providing compassionate care andassistance to our client with an acquired brain injury resulting in mobility and speechdifficulties.

Shifts are arranged on a 12-hour shift basis either (day shift) 8am to 8pm or(overnight) 8pm to 8am.

• weekday rate - £15.50 per hour
• weekend rate - £16.50 per hour
• weekday night shift - £165.00 per shift
• weekend night shift - £185.00 per shift

Support Worker Duties and Responsibilities include:

• All aspects of personal care and hygiene;
• Cooking and preparing meals;
• Shopping;
• Driving;
• Accompanying to appointments;
• Collaborate with other support/care workers;
• Assistance with the administration of medication;
• Assistance with exercising and therapies.
