Polytec are looking for a Production Planner for our client based in Ely to ensure continuous supply of manufactured items using scheduling production plans matching capacity and demand.
Responsibilities:
* Generate and maintain a detailed production plan
* Daily review meetings
* Overseeing the release of production work in the absence of managers
* Monitor capacity utilisation initiating supply chain related corrective actions
* Respond to Lead Time and Delivery Update requests
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives following PDCA or lean principles by conducting root cause analysis
* Have awareness of ongoing projects and NPI release dates, ensuring a smooth transition to production
* Collaborative working with other internal teams to ensure uninterrupted flow of goods
Requirements:
* Planning production operations experience and confidence using ERP systems (AX 2012 or D365)
* Continuous improvement and/or lean activity experience
* Collaborative worker
* Flexible working hours to ensure seamless onsite production scheduling support
* CPIM would be beneficial
* Competent user of MS Office with confident Excel abilities
* Strong analytical skills
