Sonic Summary

Pure is seeking an experienced Payroll/Assistant Accountant for a 9-month contract in Witham.
The role involves processing monthly payroll, managing payment runs, and daily bank account reconciliations.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in payroll and be AAT qualified or part qualified in ACCA/CIMA.
The position offers a competitive salary of £30,000 to £35,000 per year, depending on experience.

Pure are delighted to be partnering with an excellent business based in Witham looking for an experienced Payroll/ Assistant Accountant to join the team on a 9 month contract basis.Duties will include the following:

Responsible for processing monthly payroll
Responsible for managing the payment run process - weekly/monthly runs
Responsible for ensuring the bank accounts are reconciled on a daily basis
Responsible for Balance Sheet reconciliations, including reconciling all intercompany balances at month-end and resolving any discrepancies
Regularly circulating timesheet analysis and chasing line managers for incomplete/inaccurate time recording
Responsible for ensuring that all subcontractor compliance is maintained, and CIS is appropriately applied where applicable
Preparation of accurate HMRC submission such as PAYE, VAT, CIS, P11D
Supporting internal and external audit process
Support the Commercial Finance Manager and Head of Finance and Finance Director with any financial analysis as required
Streamline and drive continuous improvement in order to gain efficiencies in the finance team

Requirements:

AAT qualified or part qualified in ACCA/CIMA
Ideally 2+ Years experience in Payroll
Management Accounts experience
Strong Excel Skills
High attention to detail
A can-do attitude
Clear communicator
