PURPOSE OF ROLE 

We are collaborating with a reputable insurance broker to find a Commercial Account Executive. They have a strong focus on providing exceptional service to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). With a focused growth plan, it is essential for them to add an experienced and ambitious Commercial Account Executive to their team. The Commercial Account Executive will be responsible for managing and taking ownership of a book of existing clients, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring a quality service is provided to all clients in accordance with their needs and requirements. Additionally, the role involves overseeing and developing the commercial team to achieve business and personal objectives. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manage and take ownership of a book of existing clients, seeking cross-sell and upsell opportunities
  • Develop new business opportunities and generate revenue for the business
  • Ensure a quality service is provided to all clients in accordance with their needs and requirements
  • Oversee and develop the commercial team to achieve business and personal objectives
  • Handle Personal Lines and claims handling to support client needs as required
  • Ensure all business activities comply with FCA regulations and company procedures
  • Conduct learning, training, and assessment exercises in accordance with the individual T&C scheme
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and promote exceptional customer care standards at all times
  • Report to the Directors and influence the direction and performance of the business 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification
  • Cert CII qualified or working towards
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a similar commercial account executive role
  • Demonstrable track record of managing and developing client relationships
  • Experience in generating new business opportunities and achieving revenue targets
  • Familiarity with overseeing and developing a commercial team

SKILLS 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Ability to identify client needs and provide suitable solutions
  • Proficiency in maintaining professionalism and accuracy in all client interactions
  • Strong leadership and team development skills

DAY-TO-DAY 

  • Prospect new leads and conduct client visits/initial contacts
  • Identify client needs and negotiate with insurers to secure appropriate cover
  • Present recommendations and cover to clients, ensuring a high level of customer service
  • Monitor performance in line with targets and manage the client portfolio effectively
  • Handle complaints in accordance with regulations and company procedures
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all clients
