Project Planner - Freelance (Outside IR35)

On-site delivering a new build Power station in Essex over the 12 - 18 months

  • Location: Thurrock, Essex
  • Salary: £400 - £425 (Outside IR35) per day

Site-based, minimum of 3 days a week, ideally 4 days due to the programme but there is flexibility to work from home as the programme requires.

Role Description:The Resolute Group is working in partnership with an M&E contractor who has been awarded the installation of a new Power station based in Essex. At present we are mobilising a team to deliver the programme over the next 12 - 18 months, hence looking for a temporary/freelance contractor to support the delivery of the scheme. Your duties will vary depending on the programme of works but could include:

  • Responsible for designing and developing reports and associated management tools to identify problem areas and recommend corrective action as the project proceeds.
  • Provides technical and operational direction to project controls staff.
  • Reviews and approves all project cost forecasts and progress reports.
  • Provides planning support to the project team for all project planning related aspects of the project.
  • Identifies, analyses, and provides innovative solutions to cost engineering and planning / scheduling problems.
  • Reviews draft construction contracts for adequacy of cost and schedule requirements.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proficient in using project planning software Primavera P3 & P6.
  • Proven track record with major projects
  • Ability to assess project risks and understand associated contingencies
  • Engineering Degree Preferred
  • Full UK Driving Licence
