The Role

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Operations and Facilities Management Team. In this key role, you will conduct periodic site inspections of operational assets to ensure all facilities remain functional and safe. Responsibilities include carrying out both planned and responsive repairs, addressing minor mechanical, electrical, and building fabric defects, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a hands-on maintenance role with knowledge of building construction
  • Ability to carry out general repairs including painting, plumbing, carpentry, and lock replacements
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills to liaise with contractors, building managers, and consultants
  • Ability to prioritise and plan workloads effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using CAFM systems and maintaining accurate records
  • A full UK driving licence and ability to travel within the borough

Desirable:

  • Recognised engineering or building services vocational qualifications
  • Knowledge of building regulations and statutory requirements in electrical, mechanical, and health & safety disciplines
