Kenna Recruitment has a brand new, exciting opportunity for a Document Controller to join one of the UK's Leading Developers within the construction industry. Asite experience is essential.
Overview:
Keep track of important project documents like project plans, blueprints, vendor contracts and drawings; create reports for the construction managers; keep documentation safe and backed up; perform data entry tasks. Work alongside the Design Manager and Project Manager to ensure the design administration runs smoothly and is always up to date.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for being the first point of contact in regards to project related information and managing the Asite project workspace.
- All Document Control relating to the design of the project (Drawings / RFIs / Tech Subs / Sample Schedules)
- Work closely with the Design Manager and Project lead
- Liaise with members of the design team and sub-contractors on design issues/queries
- Management of design information
- Assist the Project Leader in gathering data for monthly progress/forecast reports and collating the final document for issue
- Liaise with Project Lead / Design Manager on co-ordination of O&M manuals
- Provide a reporting and feedback function such that senior managers are fully aware of all documentation issues
- Ensure that procedures are fully implemented in order to meet the requirements of the BMS and other documentation and information systems
- Identify contractual requirements in relation to Document control.
- Create and customize forms and schedules for site-specific operations
- Process documentation in a timely, accurately and efficiently to the team in-house as well as consultant, contractor, and third-party teams externally
- Produce reports for the department teams weekly or a monthly basis and chase the in-house team and external teams on documentation outstanding their review and actions outstanding.
- Manage the Asite and DocHosting project workspace and action requests such as adding new users to the workspace when/if required
- Help solve Asite problems that arise from any contractor and design team members
- Assisting the technical and commercial teams in producing tender package and formally issue on Asite
- General administrative duties, scanning, copying and distributing documents.
Experience/Knowledge:
- Construction site-based experience ideally from a Residential background
- Asite knowledge is a must
- Experience in implementing at either project, region or group-level Information Management Strategies
