People Change Consultant

Duration: 12 months

Full Time (37 hours per week)

Salary: £48-56,000 per annum

Location: Central Essex (Hybrid working)

I am supporting an ambitious public sector organisation in Central Essex that is undergoing a significant transformation. As part of their large-scale change initiatives, they are seeking an experienced Interim People Change Consultant.

This role is pivotal in providing specialist change management expertise to support the organisation in achieving its strategic goals and successfully delivering its transformation plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and challenge on change management within large and transformational programmes.
  • Collaborate with People and other specialist teams to influence and shape change initiatives and support the delivery of transformational projects.
  • Design and implement interventions and activities that prepare the workforce for change, while effectively managing resistance to change.
  • Ensure alignment between organisational change initiatives and the overall strategic objectives.
  • Support the development of change management strategies that balance people needs with organisational goals.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to engage stakeholders and teams in the change process.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Educated to degree level with CIPD or Change Management qualifications and ongoing professional development.
  • In-depth knowledge of change management frameworks, methodologies, and toolkits (including Prosci and ADKAR).
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver large-scale change programmes on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
  • Experienced in managing change programmes, developing business cases, identifying risks, and creating mitigation plans.
  • Strong understanding of the critical factors in leading change, with practical experience in applying project and programme management approaches.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to manage multiple and conflicting stakeholder expectations.
  • Proven experience in planning, facilitating, and delivering workshops that drive engagement and alignment.
