Part-time Contracts Manager - Essex - Insurance - £50,000 - £60,000 FTE
Wise May are looking for a part-time Contracts Administrator to join their Essex based medium sized Insurance client.
The ideal candidate will work 5 days per week (either mornings or afternoons)
Hybrid working 2 days in the office (Monday & Wednesday), 3 days working from home
The role is a newly created and standalone position, you will manage all aspects of commercial contract templates, updates, amendments and License obligations to the Company’s growing client base, both in the UK and overseas.
You will work directly with the CEO and MD to oversee the contract amendments and version control during the negotiation phase of on-boarding advising on and be responsible for the review, control and oversight of the documentation of other ad-hoc consultancy and other work.
Duties to include:
- Reviewing and advising on commercial contracts, including NDA’s, supplier contracts and the Company’s own License & Hosting Agreements
- Conducting legal research across a range of topics and jurisdictions
- Maintaining all client contracts (including Work Orders, Statements of Work and Change Requests attaching to client contracts)
- Analysing and reporting on contract changes and differences
- Assisting colleagues by monitoring compliance with contractual obligations and developing appropriate processes
- Keep track of changes in Legal framework and provide timely updates on these changes
- Assist with related regulatory and corporate compliance matters
- Update various contract templates and provide legal advice and support to the team as needed
Skills and experience:
- Prior commercial experience or experience reviewing commercial contracts
- Attention to detail
- Commercial awareness
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload and prioritise accordingly

- Degree level or higher qualification in contract or general Law. Prior experience in a para legal or contract management role
