The Advocate Group is proud to be partnered with a globally leading FMCG business to support the search for a key hire at their manufacturing facility in Halstead. If you’re an experienced Quality professional working within the Food industry, with knowledge of key quality legislation and certifications, then we’d love to hear from you.

The role:

  • Define guidelines, procedures, and KPIs aligned with Group FSQ policies, ensuring correct application and process effectiveness.
  • Provide support to PFSQM in managing raw materials, packaging, industrial processes, non-conformities, and deviation permits.
  • Develop training programs for internal auditors with HR and ensure Food Safety/GMP/PRP training across the plant.
  • Define and implement product traceability rules, and conduct traceability simulations with QS, Plant, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Manage and maintain quality certifications, plan and execute internal audits, track KPIs, and report progress to PFSQM, Plant Manager, and Central Directions.
  • Develop and maintain the Food Safety and Quality manual, plant procedures, and related documentation.
  • Monitor external companies for compliance with plant FSQ standards, such as pest control and cleaning.
  • Update HACCP plans using risk analysis, train auditors on quality and food safety, and ensure product traceability through defined rules and simulations.

Your profile:

  • You should have experience in food quality within an FMCG environment, along with expertise in food safety, food technology, and food chemical and microbiological analysis.
  • A strong knowledge of packaging analysis, statistical sampling and control principles in the food industry, pest control, and ISO certification schemes (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 19000) is essential, as well as familiarity with private certification schemes and food legislation (GMP, HACCP).
  • You should be result-oriented, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have an acute attention to detail.
  • An MSc in Quality Food or a related field is highly desirable.
