Freight Coordinator - Witham, Essex - Up to 35,000
Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Freight Coordinator to join a fast-paced and dynamic logistics environment. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of hands-on experience in freight forwarding, with a strong focus on export operations. You will play a key role in managing the full cycle of import/export shipments, ensuring compliance with international regulations and maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Hours: Monday to Friday: 08:00am to 17:00pm
Salary: 32,000 - 35,000 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end export process, including compliance with country-specific requirements
- Serve as the primary contact for customer communications
- Handle supplier and customer queries efficiently
- Ensure timely and accurate billing
- Oversee all aspects of export shipments
- Resolve customer issues and provide excellent service
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation flow
- Operate independently within the export workflow
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of supplier terms, delivery conditions, Incoterms, and purchasing terms
- Utilize internal computer systems and manage invoicing effectively
- Understand and apply Customs regulations and export documentation procedures
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Manage time and workload independently
Requirements:
- Experience with a UK based freight forwarder (Min. 5 years experience)
- UK based with right to work in the UK (No sponsorship on offer)
- Strong understanding of UK freight procedures
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office (and/or other logistics platforms)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments
