They are looking to expand their Customs Department with an experiencedCustoms Administrator.

Duties will include:
  • Work as part of a team reporting to a Customs Manager
  • Signing of documents under a Power of Attorney on behalf of clients
  • Recognise client commercial invoice(s) and packing list(s) extracting data as necessary to complete import declarations
  • Liaising with importers and internal operational colleagues to obtain mandatory information for import entries
  • Aiding clients on the classification of goods and their importance
  • Entering details onto specialised Customs software including CDS, CNS, Destin8, NCTS, NES etc
The ideal candidate will be fully conversant with import Customs regulations, whilst keeping up to date with changes as they occur. Have experience of documentation, including T-documents, EUR1s, Certificates of Origin (CofO), CVED and other cargo control documents, as well as discharge process of T-documents etc

Numerical skills are essential, with excellent data handling, candidates must be a skilled negotiator, communicator and relationship manager when dealing will all parties involved in the import Customs process. Must be Customer focused, both internally with colleagues and externally with clients and be fully conversant with Customs applications such as CHIEF, CNS, Destin8, NCTS, NES etc and have a good understanding of ETSF warehouse processes
