KM4HR are exclusively recruiting for a strong HR Advisor with experience of supporting SME businesses to join their Essex based client as a HR Consultant.

Permanently employed you will be providing 'when needed’ HR advice to a range of businesses ranging from sole traders looking to grow through to SME trade businesses employing staff on variable contracts.

As a HR Consultant you will be consulting across the full HR spectrum from onboarding and contracts of employment through to disciplinaries and dismissals. Operationally you will be leading on the roll out of policy and process updates when required, advising on best practice and coaching/mentoring leaders on all HR matters.

Broadly, your role as a HR Consultant will involve:

  • Providing an outsourced HR support to SME businesses both operationally and strategically
  • Advising in areas of recruitment, staff contracts, onboarding, grievances, disciplinary issues and in some cases TUPE and redundancy
  • Involvement with client specific projects relating to the updating or implementation of HR policies and practices within the business
  • Tailored for each client, provide advice and guidance on UK employment law
  • Attending site to assist with more complex HR cases that require HR presence in meetings
  • Supporting business owners/leaders strategically plan for the short and long term futures of their business
  • Identifying and discussing opportunities to enhance the service already provided by the Consultancy

Experience and confidence in the following areas are considered essential when considering a career as a HR Consultant:

  • Strong HR Generalist with significant HR knowledge, often working at senior level
  • Advanced knowledge of employee relations
  • Confidence advising in all areas of the employee lifecycle
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and in written form
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial awareness
  • CIPD qualified

For this particular role we are keen to speak to individuals who have flexibility to manage their diary based on the needs of their assigned clients. This may require short notice change to working days for the remainder of 2024 and those who have the availability to increase their hours post Christmas 2024.

Ideally you will based in or around Essex and be comfortable travelling around the M25 between Dartford and Chelmsford approx. 1 day per week.
