Overview:We are seeking an experienced Packaging Designer on behalf of a highly regarded design company based in Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a creative team dedicated to crafting exceptional, innovative packaging solutions for renowned brands across the FMCG, cosmetics, food & beverage, and retail industries.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualise, design, and develop unique packaging solutions that align with brand identity and product needs, ensuring the design is both visually appealing and functional.
  • Work closely with clients, marketing, and product teams to translate brand strategies and objectives into tangible packaging designs.
  • Incorporate eco-friendly practices into designs, researching and recommending sustainable materials, processes, and packaging innovations that meet environmental goals.
  • Develop prototypes, mock-ups, and 3D renderings of packaging to bring designs to life and present them to clients and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure packaging designs are translated accurately into production, maintaining the integrity and quality of the design.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitor packaging to ensure your designs are cutting-edge and market-relevant.
  • Address challenges such as cost-efficiency, material choices, and logistical considerations without compromising on design quality.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience as a Packaging Designer, ideally within FMCG, cosmetics, or food & beverage industries.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your packaging design expertise, with examples of both creative conceptual work and practical designs that have gone to production.
  • Expert knowledge of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), CAD programs, and 3D rendering tools.
  • Solid understanding of packaging materials, print processes, and manufacturing techniques.
  • A forward-thinking approach with a strong interest in sustainable packaging solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and suppliers.
