Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Town Planner looking to take the next step in your career?We are currently working with a highly regarded property consultancy that is looking for a talented Assistant Town Planner to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop their planning career and work on a range of exciting projects in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals.
  • Conduct site assessments and prepare reports on planning policy and development potential.
  • Support senior planners in planning strategy development and project management.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate the planning process.
  • Contribute to the preparation of planning reports, including site analysis and policy reviews.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of planning legislation, regulations, and best practices.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related field (RTPI accredited preferred).
  • Ideally, some experience in a planning role (though graduates with relevant experience will be considered).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving and planning.
