Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant qualifications in Modern Foreign Languages.
  • Experience of teaching French and Spanish GCSE level
  • Right to work in the UK - this is essential
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Must provide 2 proven professional references
  • In depth knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective MFL lessons, focusing on French and Spanish, across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • To ensure that the strategic objectives of the school are reflected in the work and development of the department and practice of the teachers.
  • Ability to model well-planned, engaging and effective lessons for the department
  • The ability to lead curriculum development and innovation
  • Excellent subject knowledge for preferred subject
  • Utilising evaluation data to efficiently organise student's next learning steps
  • Maintain a well organised, stimulating learning environment
  • An understanding of and a commitment to safeguarding students
