A newly created Materials management opportunity working for this successful engineering/manufacturing business in South Essex. This permanent role will play a key role in the overall efficiency of the supply chain and have a high level of exposure to internal and external stakeholders.Key areas of focus will include: driving collaborative relationships between production, operations and sales; building long-term supplier partnerships to ensure inventory levels are optimised; actively manage stock on site; ensuring inventory levels are aligned with production targets and that demand forecasting is accurate and timely; play a key role in analysing areas for improvements to process and systems; utilise the ERP system to drive best practice and ensure all inventory management targets are achieved.

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrable material control or material planning experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. With excellent communication skills, you will have a high attention to detail and exceptional planning and organising skills. With strong problem-solving and analytical skills, you will have a self-motivated and solutions-focused approach to your work and thrive working with autonomy in a challenging, busy manufacturing environment Momday to Friday on site.
