About the Role:

Based in Stansted, Essex. A young and dynamic business are looking to add another new member to their team. They are seeking a professional and personable Receptionist/office assistant to be the welcoming face of their brand-new, purpose-built head office. This pivotal role is integral to creating an exceptional first impression for clients, visitors, and team members while ensuring the smooth running of the front desk and supporting administrative tasks.

Duties:

  • Greet and welcome clients, visitors, and staff with a friendly and professional demeanour
  • Manage the front desk area to ensure it is tidy, presentable, and reflective of our company standards.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and accurately.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and courier services efficiently.
  • Coordinate visitor access, including managing sign-in processes and issuing visitor badges.
  • Provide general administrative support to various departments as needed.
  • Maintain meeting room schedules and ensure rooms are ready for use.
  • Assist in the organization of office events and activities when required.
  • Always uphold confidentiality and professionalism.

Skills:

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role
  • Presentable, Polite and Friendly demeanour
  • Good Customer Service Attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Smartsheets (not a necessity)
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. phone systems and printers)
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO20121 (not a necessity)
