Junior Production Engineer

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am- 5pm
Location: Witham, Essex
Salary: £32,000 (dependent on experience)



Key Responsibilities:

  • Workflow Analysis: Analyse production work flows to identify areas for improvement, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in operations.
  • Process Optimisation: Implement methods to optimise processes, reduce downtime, and enhance throughput across production lines.
  • Performance Enhancement: Continuously monitor and enhance production performance, striving for higher standards and productivity.
  • Production Planning: Assist in production planning and scheduling, ensuring resource availability to meet project deadlines.
  • Procurement Coordination: Collaborate with procurement and stock control teams to maintain material availability and manage inventory effectively.
  • Schedule Monitoring: Monitor and adjust production schedules as necessary to meet demand and minimise delays in the production process.
  • SOP Development: Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and conduct training to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Product Development Support: Assist with the development of new products and their introduction into the production process.


Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A formal qualification in production or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 year's experience in a similar role; experience in the same sector is advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
