A market leading, manufacturing & design company in Witham are recruiting a Materials Coordinator to join their team ASAP. This is a temporary - permanent position working in the office Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm, Paying 14 - 15 per hour depending on experience.


Your key duties in this Materials Coordinator role will include but are not limited to:

  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure that raw material requirements are in place to meet build schedules
  • Interpreting the production forecasts from customers and producing parts schedules, and consumables requirements that meet minimum order quantity (MoQs) whilst minimising inventory
  • Ensuring that goods/services deliveries are on time, following up with commitments from suppliers and ensuring that the logistics department has up-to-date information
  • Report in a timely manner any potential issues with deliveries that may cause disruption to the business, and work with the supplier to find alternative supply scenarios
  • Work with the purchasing department to ensure purchase orders, POs, are updated, reflecting the correct call-offs that meet the needs of the business
  • Report back to purchasing "problem" suppliers, and develop a joint action plan
  • Cover purchasing activities as required
  • Carry out other ad hoc tasks/requests made by the supervisor/managerial staff


Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Material Control, in a complex manufacturing environment
  • Capable of translating production forecast's into a parts/consumables schedule
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure, prioritising tasks as required
  • Show resilience working with suppliers to ensure delivery times are committed and met
