**Payroll & Benefits Manager - Chelmsford - Global Manufacturer (Flexibe Working)**

We are currently recruiting for a global manufacturer in one of the biggest growth sectors across the UK. This is a rare opportunity where our client is not looking for any kind of industry background but people who have strong payroll experience and have a background in implementing a new payroll system. This is an exciting time in the business where it is growing rapidly and offers a lot of career progression.

Role:

You will be responsible for -

  • Maintaining accurate employee records within the business’ payroll software
  • Query resolution & investigation
  • Updating of PAYE coding change notices
  • Processing & reporting of PAYE related instructions to & from HMRC
  • Compiling payroll data
  • Net Pay, PAYE and NIC Reconciliations
  • Conflict resolution for dealing with disputes between employees and managers pay enquiries
  • Assist in collecting data for annual pay reviews, benefit renewals and Gender Pay Gap reporting

Candidate:

The ideal candidate will -

  • Payroll Implementation and in-sourcing
  • At least 3 years end to end payroll experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of tax and payroll legislation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and systems skills
  • Computer literacy in using Microsoft Office suite and payroll software
  • Level 3 CIPP (desirable)
  • Accounting experience (desirable)

Package:

  • Basic Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (negotiable based on experience)
