Success Recruit are currently working with a well-established Electrical, Fire & Security installation and maintenance company based in South Essex seeking an office based Payroll Administrator. Supporting a busy team the successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of the full payroll process, open to assisting and supporting the team and business with your administration and communication skills

The successful Payroll Administrator will be expected to:

  • Have previous experience running full cycle payroll
  • Demonstrate excellent Excel knowledge
  • Have CIS and VAT Experience
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, numerical skills and confidentiality

Job Description

Duties to include but are not limited to:

  • Processing of payroll for approximately 60 - 80 staff
  • Input and processing of timesheets, calculating and authorising hours
  • Checking / processing holiday entitlements
  • Allocating price work
  • Calculating taxes and deductions
  • Provide financial information to the management team
  • Arranging payments for both weekly / monthly pay runs
  • Understanding of pension contributions, VAT and CIS
  • Knowledge of end of year payroll accounts
  • Maintaining records and upkeep of payroll database
  • Committing and working to deadlines
  • Communicating with third party payroll companies

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to work on a part time basis using their payroll, administrative and communication skillsets. Overseeing the internal process of payroll, within a busy environment and working to deadlines, this will suit someone who wishes to be part of a team. Experience with Xero would be preferred but not essential if other payroll platform knowledge is demonstrated. Basic HR knowledge could be an advantage but not essential.

Hours: 3 days a week in the office, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - 09.00am - 5.00pm

Salary: Hourly rate £16
