The Role:As a General SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting classroom activities, including assistance with lessons and facilitating student learning. In addition to mainstream classes, you will have the opportunity to work with our Nurture Group and ARP (Additional Resource Provision) unit, providing vital support to students who benefit from specialized attention. Light SEN (Special Educational Needs) support for Key Stage 1 and 2 students may also be part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting teachers in the delivery of lessons and activities
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students as needed
  • Collaborating with SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement individualized support plans
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Participating in school-wide initiatives and events

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
