Job Title: Shift Process Operator

Job Overview:

The Shift Process Operator is responsible for managing and monitoring the production processes at our chemical plant. The role focuses on maintaining equipment functionality, optimising plant performance, and ensuring both product quality and safety standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise Data Acquisition software to track and assess the status of process parameters.
  • Interpret instrument readings and adjust settings as needed to maintain smooth operations.
  • Pack, label, and store finished products according to established procedures.
  • Operate valves, pumps, and set points manually to control the process.
  • Collect scheduled samples for laboratory testing or on-site analysis.
  • Supervise goods receiving and dispatch, including overseeing the loading/unloading of road tankers and operating forklift trucks.
  • Keep physical logs of process data for documentation and archival purposes.
  • Perform routine manual tasks, including equipment cleaning and filter replacements.
  • Report any process issues or abnormalities immediately to the appropriate manager or team.
  • Consistently wear and adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Chargehand or Site Manager.
  • Serve as a positive representative of the company when dealing with customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment terms and company policies.
  • Adhere to ISO standards and company procedures at all times.
  • Engage fully in performance management and development initiatives to improve both individual and team performance.
  • Strive for excellence in work quality and efficiency, using the best available technology and skills.
  • Comply with the company's HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain full compliance with health and safety regulations.

Shift Work:

  • Due to the nature of our 24/7 facility, the Shift Process Operator will be required to work on a rotating shift schedule, which may include nights and weekends.
  • Shift is 4 on and 4 off. 2 days and 2 nights. 6.00am to 18.00 and 18.00 to 6.00am.
