Halcyon Care are seeking a full time genuinely caring, hands-on Female Support Worker with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of all residents.

This role is at a wonderful specialist, CQC Registered Supported Living Scheme in the beautiful Mid Essex area, Specialising in Challenging Behaviour, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Autism and Epilepsy.

- Shift types are predominately:

路 Long days

路 Waking nights; and

路 Shorter day shifts (early's and mids)

Training / Requirements include:

路 Minimum 12 months experience with Challenging Behaviour, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Complex Needs, Autism and Epilepsy.

路 Proven experience in implementing Positive Behavioural Support and Positive Risk Management approaches

路 Ability to be trained and to use breakaway and physical intervention techniques if and when required. Applicants must be physically fit and able to perform these techniques in line with the techniques requirements and capable of performing all care tasks.

路 Strong communication skills, compassionate, resilient, patient and understanding with a 'can-do approach' is vital.

路 Driver

You will ensure that service users fully experience the highest level of care and respect with personalised support provided in accordance with agreed care plans, enabling service users to enjoy the best quality of life and help to build on community connections.

You will promote and reinforce a culture of responsive, person-centred practice and active support across the service, with relationships based on respect and care. Your work will be a mixture of shifts on the rota and and you will be required to work across the entire week, including evenings and weekends.

You will be able to demonstrate previous experience of supporting people with Challenging Behaviour, Learning Disabilities, Autism and Epilepsy and those who have Mental Health or Complex needs. You will also have relevant experience in implementing Positive Behavioural Support and positive risk management approaches to ensure that the service is of the highest quality, meeting all CQC standards and requirements.
