Morgan Hunt's Public Sector client is looking to recruit a Homelessness Officer to provide support throughout a busy period. We are looking for a dedicated Homelessness Officer to join our client, providing comprehensive homelessness assessments and tailored housing solutions to those in need. This role requires strong experience in liaising with landlords and Registered Providers, and ensuring all clients receive a full assessment of their housing options in line with statutory duties.Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:路 Conduct detailed housing needs assessments and deliver early intervention strategies to prevent homelessness under part 6 and 7 of the Housing Act.路 Build and maintain strong relationships with private landlords, letting agents, and housing associations to increase access to secure, long-term housing.路 Provide comprehensive assessments of all available housing options, including private rental, temporary accommodation, and social housing pathways.路 Assess cases under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and issue legally sound Section 184 decision letters.路 Work collaboratively with social services, welfare teams, and housing providers to deliver effective support plans for vulnerable individuals and families.路 Assist in the placement and management of temporary accommodation, ensuring clients receive suitable housing in line with legal requirements.路 Be familiar with maintain accurate case records within systems such as Jigsaw, Northgate, or Locata, ensuring all documentation meets local authority and legal standards.If you're looking to work for a Public Sector and Government client with Housing Options and Homelessness, and feel you meet the essential criteria outlined above to be a Homelessness Officer, please contact the team with an up-to-date CV at your earliest convenience.
