We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in Colchester, Essex. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and will be committed to creating an inclusive and empowering learning experience for all.

Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one support to students with ASD and/or ADHD, ensuring their individual needs are met in the classroom setting- Collaborate with teachers to implement personalized learning plans and behavior management strategies for students with SEN- Create a safe and supportive environment for students, promoting social and emotional well-being- Assist in the development of educational materials and resources tailored to the specific needs of students with ASD and/or ADHD- Communicate effectively with parents and other professionals involved in the students' care to ensure a holistic approach to their education and well-being

Qualifications- Previous experience working with individuals with ASD and/or ADHD is essential- Strong understanding of SEN support strategies and a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents- Relevant certifications or training in the field of Special Educational Needs is desirable

Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students during lessons, ensuring they are able to engage and participate fully- Collaborate with teachers to facilitate the inclusion of students in all aspects of school life- Monitor and record student progress, and contribute to the review and development of their individual support plans- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting respect and understanding among all students- Engage in professional development opportunities to further enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEN

This role is temporary to permanent role.

This is a full-time role. Monday to Friday. 8:30am to 3:30pm.
