TeacherActive is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant/Sports Coach to join our team in Witham. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on young people's lives through education and sports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Support students with their academic work and personal development.
- Foster a positive learning environment and encourage student participation.
- Plan and deliver sports coaching sessions that promote teamwork, skill development, and physical fitness.
- Supervise students during break times and assist with extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all learners.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or coaching capacity is preferred.
- A background in physical education, sports science, or a related field is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3, sports coaching certifications) are desirable but not essential.
