Main Duties:
- Constant communication via, telephone and email with customers, drivers and other internal colleagues.
- Planning for between 20 and 50 vehicles.
- Pre-briefing and de-briefing drivers on their daily runs.
- Liaising with drivers on the road over collection and delivery issues.
- Recording collection/delivery status and discrepancies in systems and escalate where appropriate.
- Providing a positive and encouraging atmosphere at all times to ensure all staff work to the best of their abilities.
- Ensuring vehicle earning are greater than vehicle costs to achieve a healthy margin.
- Supporting, complying and ensuring complicity with Health, Safety & Environmental Regulations.
- 3 years Transport/Logistics experience
- Must have Road Freight experience
- Container experience
- Strong Planning experience
- Great communication skills
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Highly organised, strong and influential communicator.
- Great problem solver
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to question, challenge and improve upon existing processes.
- Strong interpersonal and people management skills.
- Excellent time management.
