As a leading provider of education support, we specialize in offering high-quality tutoring in core subjects, including English, Maths, and Science, to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Role Overview:

We are looking for enthusiastic SEND Tutors who are committed to making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs. As an SEND Tutor with GSL Education, you will deliver personalized and engaging tutoring sessions that help students improve their understanding and performance in key subjects. Key Responsibilities for SEND Tutors:

  • Deliver one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions in English, Maths, or Science, specifically tailored for SEND students.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans that address each student’s unique strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to make learning engaging and accessible for SEND students.
  • Track and report on student progress, providing regular feedback to both students and parents.
  • Prepare SEND students for exams and assessments, offering strategies for success.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student confidence and independence.

Requirements for SEND Tutors:

  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related subject (e.g., a degree in English, Maths, Science, Education, or equivalent).
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching core subjects to students with SEND.
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum and exam requirements for English, Maths, and Science.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for helping SEND students succeed.
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
