Description

This Part Time Finance Officer role will suit a driven individual with a proven financial background.

As the Finance Officer you will work in partnership with the Finance Manager to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Finance function.

You will be responsible for the following.

  • Assist the Finance Manager in month-end processing and reporting to head office, P&L, Balance Sheet, budget reports, and a detailed profit analysis report.
  • Assist on month-end foreign exchange calculations, asset reporting and stock valuation.
  • Running month end sales reports, sales reconciliation, and invoice profit analysis.
  • Accounts payable - obtaining invoice approval, inputting invoices, and checking statements, running a monthly supplier run and control of ad-hoc payments.
  • Processing cash and credit card expenses.
  • Credit control: Collecting in debts, sending out statements.
  • Daily reconciliation of company bank accounts allocating payments & receipts.
  • Setting up new customer accounts in the system, assisting on credit checks for new and existing customers.
  • Raising credit notes for customers, duty claims from suppliers and ad hoc invoicing.
  • Run monthly plastic tax reporting and monitoring of threshold.
  • Quarterly UK VAT returns
  • Monthly EC sales reporting for Netherlands submission and quarterly VAT returns.
  • Assist with external year end audit.
  • Day to day administrative tasks and queries linked to business operations.

Profile

The successful Part Time Finance Officer will have:

  • Previous experience in an all round accounting role.
  • Experience with SAGE and Excel
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Highly organised and able to multitask.
  • Efficient and confident.
  • Professional and able to work and communicate with key stakeholders.
  • Flexible and can-do attitude.

Job Offer

  • This is a permanent position, working a maximum of 25 hours per week -flexibility with working hours and days can be discussed.
