Due to the continued expansion of our private psychology services, we are excited to be able to recruit a Business Support Assistant for our practice at Worton Park, Witney, Oxfordshire.
Salary (dependant upon experience)
£24500 to £27000 Gross Annual
Hours
The position is advertised as 37.5 hours a week (paid).
The hours of work (8 hour day) are offered flexibly in between the hours of 8am and 8pm five days a week, Monday to Friday. This flexibility is to assist those who may have family commitments (school runs etc).
The position is office based and is not suitable for 'working from home’. It should also be noted that you may be working alone in the office and as such you must be confident with opening and locking up procedures.
The Family Practice Group is a private multi-disciplinary psychology practice who provide a range of services to both private clients and the NHS for adults and children to access. We currently employee a small team of administrative staff who support our team of clinicians including psychologists, therapists and other health care practitioners.
We specialise in Autism Spectrum and Trauma and have clients from all over the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- To contribute to the smooth running of the client administrative process and to provide an efficient and professional service to all clients, visitors, and clinical staff.
- Assist the Practice Manager with managing new referrals (telephone / email)
- Process incoming and outgoing mail as required
- Responsible for dealing with a wide range of telephone enquiries and correspondence - working on own initiative to take action and refer issues to the Practice Manager where appropriate.
- Book client appointments and resolve scheduling issues that may arise.
- Log incoming client assessments and scan into our digital case management system
- Provide support to the Assistant Psychologist. This will predominantly relate to typing clinical documents that clients complete.
- Scoring and processing of client self-assessments (full training will be provided)
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills both verbally and written, be able to expertly convey information regarding our services to potential clients and speak confidently to existing clients about their cases.
You must be a highly motivated, hardworking and organised individual with excellent communication skills and preferably have some experience in the medical /healthcare industry.
Using your own initiative is essential as well as being able to prioritise work due to varied key responsibilities.
Full training will be provided on the subject matter that you will be working within.
This role would particularly suit someone working towards a career in mental health or clinical psychology. However, full training will be provided and so a strong interest in the subject matter will suffice.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 5 GCSE’s grade C or above (including English and Maths) or equivalent NVQ or experience
- Excellent verbal and written skills
