The Harcourt Arms, in the village of Stanton Harcourt, 10 miles outside of Oxford, is looking for a Chef de Partie

Hourly or Salaried:

  • £14/hour + TRONC
  • Flexible working hours, up to 50 hours per week
  • £32-34k per annum + TRONC
  • Full-time, 50 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days

As Chef de Partie, you will report into the Head Chef of an evolving and ambitious venture looking to grow throughout the Cotswolds, neighbouring counties and London.

At the Harcourt Arms, sharing cuts of meat and whole fish, cooked over fire and in the Josper grill feature prominently, alongside an innovative bar snack menu championing British ingredients and pub snack culture. This role is ideal for an ambitious Chef looking for a career within the group with a real opportunity for career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
  • Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality ingredients for yoursection
  • Assisting with the management of food hygienepractices
  • Managing,trainingandmentoringanyjuniorchefs
  • Monitoring portion and waste control highlight any concerns to the Head Chef or Sous Chef
  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure that the kitchen team comply with all health and safety, food safety and hygiene standards
  • Responsible for ensuring all kitchen equipment in your section is maintained and usedinasafeandcorrectmanner

Qualifications and Key Attributes:

  • Working proficiency in English is essential
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a professional kitchen
  • Positive, can-do mentality
