Experienced Teaching Assistant

Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant with over 10 years of experience? Do you hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

Position: Teaching AssistantLocation: WitneySalary: £83.50 - £90 per dayContract Type: Full time (part time considered for the right candidate)Start Date: ASAP

Join an inclusive primary school, that has an aim to improve the educational system for every child. You would have seen the educational system has evolved over the last 10 years, so why not continue to be apart of the positive movements. This Witney based Teaching Assistant role will focus on all EYFS - Year 6 classes, taking on HLTA responsibilities if you wish to expand the role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervising children to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Recognizing and catering to Witney children at various stages of development.
  • Planning, organising, and implementing engaging play and learning activities.
  • Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Supporting children with special educational needs, including those with communication and language (C&L) difficulties and English as an Additional Language (EAL).
  • Managing challenging behavior and implementing sensory interventions.
  • Assisting in lesson planning, teaching, and assessing development progress.
The ideal Witney Candidate:
  • Qualifications: Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in early years, SEND, or teaching assistant roles.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and experience supporting children with SEN and EAL.
  • Skills: Paediatric First Aid, safeguarding training, food hygiene knowledge, and functional skills in Maths and English at Level 2.
  • Personal Attributes: Team player with a passion for working with children, treating them with dignity and respect, and fostering their development.
