You as the Teaching Assistant will be based onsite in Witney, working closely with specialists and SENDCo for achieving the individual students EHCPs.

Teaching Assistant - Job description:

  • Support will at times take the form of providing 1-1 assistance for a specific pupil with SEND.
  • To support pupils in their learning and development in small groups or with individual pupils as directed treating them with respect and consideration.
  • To consistently promote positive values, attitudes and behaviour.
  • To encourage the social and emotional development of pupils, motivating and encouraging children as required.
  • To encourage pupils to participate in all aspects of school life.
  • To help pupils become more independent.
  • To promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
  • To establish a supportive relationship with the children.

Experience:

  • To have 1 years' experience working within any UK based Primary or EYFS setting is preferred.
  • Any qualifications relating to Level 3 childcare or Level 3 Teaching Assistant (preferred)

This position is subject to appropriate vetting procedures including a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) which will require you to disclose details of all unspent and unfiltered spent reprimands, formal warnings, cautions and convictions as part of the recruitment process.
