Field Service Engineer required. Our client specialises in the supply, repair and maintenance of paving equipment. They are now looking for a Field Service Engineer due to the growth of the business. Candidates must be within commutable distance of Oxford.

Successful candidates will work internationally on a specialised range of heavy concrete construction equipment. Typical trips away are usually no more than 2 weeks and international travel is irregular but still part of the role. The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications in mechanical, hydraulic and/or electronic systems.

Answering to the Service Manager, the ideal candidate will receive training on an ongoing basis, along with machine specific training at our facility in the USA (January to April). It is essential to be flexible in the role in regards to urgent call outs, international travel and remote destinations.

Field Service Engineer Position Overview

  • Machine diagnostics, mechanical, hydraulic, electric 12/24v, electronic, CAN-Bus.
  • Commissioning of equipment, assembly, testing and training of operators.
  • Servicing of equipment, filters, oils, etc.
  • Assistance to dealers and customers by telephone and email.
  • Machine reconditioning in Witney workshop.
  • Maintenance of workshop and yard.
  • Work over Europe, Africa, Middle East and CIS countries.
  • UK Foreign Office advice always adhered to.
  • More time spent in UK than abroad. Typical business trips no more than two weeks.

Field Service Engineer Position Requirements

  • Agricultural, Plant tool or mechanical experience desired.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Clean criminal record due to sensitive working locations (airports, airside)

Field Service Engineer Position Remuneration

  • Salary Expectation: £30,000 - £45.000
  • Working Hours: 36 hours. Monday - Thursday 9am - 5:30pm, Friday 9am-4pm.
  • Holiday Package: 20 days + 8BH + 3 days at Christmas.
