Our client, with over 20 years of experience in the sale, hire, repair of Industrial and Commercial cleaning equipment, is looking for a Service Engineer to join the team in Witney due to the growth of the business. Successful candidates will carry out repairs and servicing on industrial cleaning equipment at various customer locations (bakeries, factories etc) including the workshop. Machines include pressure washers, scrubber dryers, vacuums, floor sweepers/scrubbers and other cleaning equipment as required. In return, they are offering up to £34,000, a company vehicle and a holiday package of 30 days inclusive of bank holidays.

Service Engineer Job Overview

  • Carry out regular service maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment as planned by service Co-ordinator and under direction of Technical Director
  • Follow all relevant Health & Safety Legislation and practices
  • Complete daily paperwork thoroughly and efficiently and return it to office appropriately
  • Liaise with Service Co-ordinator regarding day-to-day queries from customers to enable correct ordering and sourcing of parts
  • Attend monthly engineer's meetings, to be active in team discussions regarding service, quality, safety and customer related queries, to receive and keep company updates
  • Attend Tool Box Talks as required by the company, covering new material as well as refreshing and maintaining awareness regarding various Health & Safety topics.
  • Attend supplier training and any other training required
  • Maintain a tidy and sensibly stocked van
  • Complete regular checks as required ie, weekly van checks, annual tool checks, PPE
  • Maintain stock in van of core service parts
  • Note shortages of parts as they occur by using company system to enable reordering
  • Responsible for a tidy, up-to-date and complete Engineer's Manual for reference purposes and to use other material supplied by the company as required

Service Engineer Job Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Complete understanding and experience within mechanical engineering.
  • Understanding of electrical components
  • Open to Saturday work on occasions (1 in a month)
  • Full Driving Licence
