Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with at least three years of successful classroom teaching experience, ideally in Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2.
  • A solid understanding of differentiated instruction, with an emphasis on developing students' social and emotional skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the KS1/KS2 curriculum, with a strong focus on Maths and English.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to fostering a love of learning and reading in students, with a particular focus on cultivating a classroom culture that encourages literacy and engagement with books.
  • Ability to incorporate both creative and physical activities into lessons, ensuring that learning experiences are engaging, enjoyable, and meaningful.

Desirable Skills:

  • A background in sports with a passion for using physical education as a tool to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience in students (a bonus!).
  • Experience in organising extracurricular activities or leading after-school clubs, particularly in sports or the arts.
