Key Responsibilities - Classroom Teacher - Witney:
- Delivers engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum, with a focus on Mathematics and Literacy, tailored to meet the needs of a wide range of learners.
- Provides both support and challenges to students at all ability levels, adapting techniques to help those requiring extra assistance and those who exceed grade-level expectations.
- Working with SENCO's utlising differentiated instruction, sensory tools, and auditory/visual aids to support students with special educational needs (SEN) and other specific learning requirements.
- Integrates physical activities and sports into the curriculum, using team-building exercises and individual goal-setting to enrich students' educational experiences.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with at least three years of successful classroom teaching experience, ideally in Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2.
- A solid understanding of differentiated instruction, with an emphasis on developing students' social and emotional skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the KS1/KS2 curriculum, with a strong focus on Maths and English.
- Demonstrates a commitment to fostering a love of learning and reading in students, with a particular focus on cultivating a classroom culture that encourages literacy and engagement with books.
- Ability to incorporate both creative and physical activities into lessons, ensuring that learning experiences are engaging, enjoyable, and meaningful.
Desirable Skills:
- A background in sports with a passion for using physical education as a tool to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience in students (a bonus!).
- Experience in organising extracurricular activities or leading after-school clubs, particularly in sports or the arts.
- A strong foundation in working with SEN students, including knowledge of individualized learning plans, behavior management strategies, and adaptive teaching methods.
- Excellent organizational and classroom management abilities, with a collaborative approach to teaching.
