Planning Analyst

Here at Peopleforce Recruitment we are partnered with one of our long standing clients, a global healthcare company, in their search for a Planning Analyst. We are looking for someone to join their planning team on a permanent basis at their site in Witney. For the success of this role, it is a requirement to be on site 5 days a week.

As a Planning Analyst, you will play a crucial part in optimizing operational efficiency, driving strategic improvements and supporting with ongoing growth throughout the site where they produce key medical devices.

You will be looking at planning for the nearer future rather than perhaps longer term, so more day-day problem solving. You need to be comfortable interpreting data to be able to present this back to stakeholders to propose plans before issues arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use data analysis methods to report back on and recommend changes for facility, capacity, and operations planning
  • Support site expansion projects by identifying and implementing process enhancements
  • Create different scenario plans including addressing unfavorable variances
  • Have an understanding of manufacturing data to be able to propose strategic decision making
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to implement changes while limiting impact on customer
  • Create frameworks and tools to enhance the efficient use of personnel, equipment, workflows, materials and resources
  • Use Lean Sigma methodologies to improve process and system performance and reduce waste
  • Adhere to EHS regulations and business standards

Key Requirements:

  • Degree level qualified in a relevant discipline or an equivalent of education and work experience
  • Ability to build relationships and have a key influence in decisions made
  • Able and flexible to be able to adapt to varying scenarios and changing business requirements
  • Experience in application of data analysis techniques
  • A good level of computing skills; MS Office, ERP systems, Power BI is a plus
  • Good attention to detail
  • Coming from a regulated industry is preferred
