Audit and Accounts Semi-Senior, Woking, £40-55k

Join this dynamic and growing accountancy practice, dedicated to providing exceptional audit and accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients. Looking for an Audit and Accounts Semi-Senior, committed to professional development and delivering high-quality service. The job split is 60/40 in favour of Accounts over Audit so candidates will need to have experience of both.

Day-to-day duties:

  • Audit Engagements: Assist in planning and executing audit engagements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Accounts Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Client Interaction: Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on the progress of audits and accounts preparation.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized working papers and documentation to support audit findings and financial statements.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior auditors and other team members to ensure efficient and effective completion of assignments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with changes in accounting and auditing standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.

About you:

  • At least 3 years of practical hands-on experience in audit and accounts preparation within an accountancy practice.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software (Caseware experience would be a real plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Progress towards or completion of a relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, AAT).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
