A progressive and forward-thinking independent accountancy practice is seeking a motivated Part Qualified or Qualified Tax Accountant to join their team. This firm is dedicated to modernisation and transformation, providing an exciting opportunity for growth and professional development.

Position Overview:

As a Tax Accountant you will play a key role in supporting the firm's modernisation efforts by delivering high-quality tax services to clients and contributing to process improvements within the tax department.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and minimising tax liabilities.
  • Conduct research on tax issues and developments, and effectively communicate findings to clients and colleagues.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on tax matters and providing proactive solutions to meet their needs.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and regulations, and communicate implications to clients and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with other members of the tax team and cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and enhance efficiency.
  • Support the firm's modernisation and transformation initiatives by embracing new technologies, tools, and methodologies to streamline tax processes.
Requirements
  • studying towards your ATT / CTA is preferred but ACA/ACCA considered if you're working in a tax capacity
  • solid understanding of tax principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • previous experience in tax compliance and advisory within a public accounting firm or tax consultancy.
  • excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • commitment to professional development and staying current with tax laws and industry trends.
