Role Overview: As an Accounts Semi Senior, you will play an integral role in providing crucial accounting support to a diverse range of clients. Your responsibilities will include preparing financial statements, assisting with tax compliance, and contributing to the overall client service experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and other financial reports.
  • Work closely with clients to gather necessary financial information and ensure accuracy in accounting records.
  • Support senior team members with tax compliance tasks, including VAT returns and corporation tax computations.
  • Utilize accounting software to maintain accurate client records and facilitate efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality service and meet client deadlines.
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and suggest solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and tax laws to ensure compliance.
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients and address their inquiries promptly.
  • Contribute to team meetings and share insights to improve service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • AAT qualified or in the process of pursuing ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • Some experience (X+ years) working in an accountancy practice, demonstrating a solid foundation in accounting principles.
  • Basic understanding of UK GAAP and taxation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interactions.
