Accounts Assistant - Flexible, Hands-On Role | Up to £28,000
Our client, a well-established company, is seeking a proactive and adaptable Accounts Assistant to join their team. This role requires a flexible, 'muckin’ attitude and a keen eye for detail to support the smooth running of the accounts function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and issuing customer statements before due dates
- Chasing aged debt and maintaining records of communications
- Negotiating payment plans where necessary (following discussion with management)
- Keeping management informed of outstanding debt and assisting in resolution meetings
- Handling aged debt queries and ensuring timely issue resolution
- Processing refunds, credit notes, and liaising with internal teams
- Identifying and correcting invoicing errors
- Taking payments over the phone and assisting with general office duties
- Raising purchase orders and supplier invoices
- Processing and allocating payments
- Assisting with setting up new accounts and managing invoice queries
What We’re Looking For:
- A detail-oriented and highly organised individual
- Strong communication skills and a confident approach to debt collection
- A team player with a positive, 'can-do’ attitude
- Previous experience in accounts or credit control preferred
Location: Woking areaSalary: Up to £28,000 (pro-rata for part-time)Hours: Full-time preferred, but part-time considered - hours negotiable
