Alecto Recruitment is working with an industry leading Technical Engineering company, who are now looking to appoint a Sales Administrator on a full time and permanent basis.

Established over 36 years ago, the company is a successful family run business with a team of more than 25. As part of the Sales Admin team you will play a fundamental part in the continued success of the business.

Duties:

  • Full time Office based role
  • Providing Sales administration support to Internal Sales Manager and working alongside another Sales Administrator and Project Co-ordinator.
  • Writing all the servicing contract quotations; compile costing sheet in Excel spreadsheet; converting Word document to PDF; emails to clients; diary follow ups.
  • Technical input for quotations will come from Sales Manager, Workshop Manager and/or MD.
  • Process customer orders including creation of job on accounting system (Xero), updating forecast (excel) and documentation for handover to technical team to complete order.
  • E-mail management (Microsoft Outlook)
  • Manage Voice Over IP phone system
  • Receive and manage customer enquiries for new quotes.
  • Assist other staff with administration functions as required including stock adjustment in "Tidy stock" linked to Xero accounting.

Candidate Skills

  • Good organisational skills
  • must have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PDF writer.
  • A working knowledge with Xero (accounting package) would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Ideal candidate will have good standard of English language (letter writing) and maths (costings sheets for jobs).
  • You must be happy working with the sales team, although no cold calling is involved.
  • Must have an outgoing and friendly telephone manner.
  • No technical experience needed just a willingness to learn a new industry sector and associated terminology.

This role would suit a well organised, enthusiastic person with an aptitude for technical detail in written and verbal communication.
