An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Caretaker to work very closely with the Head Caretaker on a day-to-day basis. You will be carrying out a full range of maintenance tasks and caretaking duties on site. There is potential to develop within this role also.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with handypersons duties such as joinery, decoration, plumbing and general DIY
  • Assist with management of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
  • Keeping the site safe, clean and tidy, including clearing external areas.
  • There will be lifting within the role, as well as ensuring safe access and unloading Goods Inwards.
  • Assist with capturing data and CCTV images of security and car park incidents.

Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols related to security.
  • Experience with CCTV and intruder alarm systems.
  • Skills in building maintenance are highly desirable.
  • Strong rapport with young people.
  • First Aid qualification
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
  • Physical ability to carry out manual handling tasks.
