Our client, a patient centred charity with an onsite café/restaurant, near Woking, Surrey are looking to recruit a Chef.

The Café based on site offers a range of hot and cold food options such as sandwiches, jacket potatoes, omelettes, curry's etc as well as snacks.

Pay:
This Chef position offers a good basic salary plus an excellent weekend pay enhancement on top of the basic salary.

Hours:
This Chef position involves working 37.5 hours per week, 5/7 days, working a shift between the hours of 7am and 7pm. At least every other weekend you will get a weekend day off.

The successful Chef will:
- Have previous experience as a chef and be able to work as part of a team as well as on their own
- Report to the Head Chef
- Ensure through stock rotation that items are available when needed and are used in an appropriate order and manner
- Monitor all aspects of the service to ensure it meets regulatory standards
- Promote effective processes and procedures to minimize food waste; dispose of all waste, food and refuse in accordance with agreed procedures
- Ensure that all equipment and service areas are cleaned appropriately and are safe for staff use
- Play a key role in determining the service offering
- Collaborate with the Health & Safety Manager and other colleagues to ensure that policies and procedures are updated and adhered to.
