Head of UK Ecommerce

A substantial European Group, in turn part of a Global Corporation, our Client is already established as a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality branded consumer and professional products. Boasting an enviable brand portfolio sold through multiple channels (traditional retail multiples & trade merchants and e-commerce), the Organisation is now enhancing its market position and offering still further through aggressive sales/market growth and a constantly evolving go-to-market strategy.

Whilst the Organisation continues to thrive via the more traditional channels, there is a recognition that its Ecommerce activity is currently a long way from realising its true potential. The decision has therefore been taken to recruit a high calibre Head of Ecommerce. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this is an exciting opportunity to truly make your mark through the development and subsequent execution of a new Ecommerce strategy for the UK market. With responsibility for building, managing & developing your team, you will drive significant online growth of the Organisations retail, B2B & DTC Ecommerce platforms ensuring that the digital customer experience is best-in-class and delivering revenue and profit growth through multiple online sales channels.

Degree (Business, Marketing, Digital Commerce or similar) qualified, you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of leading and growing B2C/DTC/B2B Ecommerce functions gained in a consumer goods manufacturing environment (eg. Food/Non-Food FMCG, DIY, Clothing etc.). Possessing a strong understanding of Ecommerce best practices, digital marketing, customer experience and web analytics, you will be fully conversant with Ecommerce platforms (eg. Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) & enterprise tools (eg. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics). Analytical and passionate about leading digital transformation, you will possess excellent team leadership & development experience in addition to the interpersonal skills necessary to work cross-functionally.
