Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Bid Manager to lead and manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring winning proposals are delivered in line with strategic goals. Reporting to the Global Managing Director, you will oversee bid procedures, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and drive success on multi-million-pound opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end bid process, from qualification through to delivery.
- Manage inputs from sales, marketing, finance, and operations to produce compliant, high-quality bids.
- Develop and implement winning bid strategies aligned with customer requirements.
- Prepare and review bid documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and commercial viability.
- Oversee risk assessment and mitigation throughout the bid lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships at senior levels (CEO/Director).
- Track and manage budgets, deadlines, and bid progress.
- Analyze lessons learned post-bid to improve future processes and outcomes.
Experience & Skills
- Proven success managing bids for complex, high-value opportunities in technical security or related sectors.
- Strong commercial understanding, including P&L and risk management.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
- Solid knowledge of competitive markets, governance procedures, and CRM systems.
- Experience working under tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
