The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Sales Executive will be responsible for sourcing new business opportunities and developing current and dormant accounts in the South and South East of England. You will be selling different types of valves and process equipment such as safety valves, pressure-reducing valves, and liquid level gauges mainly into chemical, oil & gas, petrochemical or similar.

The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Sales Executive willideallybe based in the South and the South East of England and have a background selling valves or similar products into chemical, oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar.

This role will suit someone who is currently in an internal position looking to make the switch to external, or someone who has already established themselves in an external sales position.

Role
  • Sourcing new business opportunities and developing current and dormant accounts in the South and South East of England.
  • Selling valve and process equipment such as safety valves, pressure-reducing valves, and liquid level gauges into the oil and gas, petrochemical, or similar.
  • Managing personal business according to an agreed market development strategy.
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
  • Attend and present at exhibitions to bring exposure to products and networking.
  • Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods.
  • Work closely with various engineering departments.
  • Work remotely / field-based based covering the South and South East of England with regular visits to customer sites
Requirements

  • Experience as an Area Sales Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Key Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Executive, or similar within a mechanical engineering environment.
  • Proven sales experience with familiarity of different sales techniques and pipeline management.
  • Experience selling valve and process equipment such as safety valves, pressure-reducing valves, and liquid level gauges, or similar.
  • Experience selling into industries such as industrial, chemical, oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Working remotely, willing to cover the South and South East of England
